it's actually even more of a blessing that she's had so much commercial and critical success, because she will be able to call the shots for the rest of her career. no one will be able to tell her what to do; any direction she wants to go in (pop, rock, country, jazz, YODELING) is up to her discretion. i mean, i know it's kinda been that way with the last 2-3 albums (1989 especially), but just to reiterate it, ya know? i know she has one more album with her contract under BMR, and i hope it's LP6 and not a greatest hits. i think she's very happy with her label, and it seems when artists release a GH that they are just trying to get out of the contract. she has no reason to. i think she could release #6 in 2016 and then take a well-deserved break. one last artistic statement that sells really well and gets rave reviews, doesn't rely on any generic or mainstream singles for radio, just complete artistry. and then she goes away for a bit (we don't want too much overexposure).
