My only issue w/ Nicki, is I'm tired of her acting like she's gunna be putting out 'deep, hardcore rap' lol

I feel like Nicki wants to teet and totter between pop and rap and it's fine but she had us fooled by putting out LAN and BAB before she dropped her singles, and I think that's what people thought the standard for this album would be. I'm fine with 'Anaconda' lol, in LQ it sounded bad but I actually enjoy it in HQ lol!

I just don't need Nicki to keep acting like she's gunna be putting out deep music, it's okay if she wants to put out catchy rap songs. I think she totally gets influenced by what people tell her. She was probably enjoying doing the pop/rap thing but the response from the black community obvs made her wanna stop, but I feel like she truly enjoys the whole 'mainstream' sound.

I enjoy 'Anaconda' tho, it's all over the place and corny but it's kind've so bad it's good lol

How am I being hateful? For pointing out the flaws of the song? In that case, yall are being too not-hateful for pointing out the good parts of the song

I don't even know what was the point of your post, honestly.

I was comparing it to her 2014 releases because....ummm... she's supposed to put twice the effort into HER singles that the GP is going to hear AND buy, and not some free songs that may or may not reach a big amount of the GP.

And all people with a sane mind agree that this is Nicki's weakest material she put out this year (excluding So Bad), so you don't have to feel sorry, hunTy.



EDIT: Something else came to mind. What was the point of her BET Awards speech when her highly-anticipated second single of the also highly-anticipated album The Pinkprint is going to have mediocre lyrics at best? She has something to prove, whether you like it or not.
