^ Wow I didn't know it was so high up, James bond's ratio is kinda messed up, but i'm assuming that because the majority of its films were before films took massive box office numbers/inflation etc?

If the DC universe doesn't count towards Batmans total, I can see X men sneaking into the top 5 as Middle-Earth is done, As deadpool 2, wolverine and maybe Gambit are all coming soon.

It's crazy, when Fox get Avatar 2 out it will immediately rank as the 17th highest grossing film series ever since the first made $2.7bn alone

Avengers as a standalone film series ranks here, Iron Man is just outside the Top 20 by the same method. If we take it out, the two below move up and Madagascar ranks 20th with $2.2bn and 4 movies.

The first Alice did billion and the second one is a major flop so I'm afraid Avatar 2 might be one of those sequels that nobody wants.

DCEU: $1,540.4bn (Two movies)
MCU: $848.6m (Two movies)

This try hard hate of franchises has to stop tbh, y'all are going to (and have) missed some fantastic movies and moments by immediately writing something off because of the brand name attached to it. Your enjoyment of a film shouldn't be tarnished by stupid things like it's success or who made it.

It's good that the Xmen movies are doing so well, starting to feel like it's time to do something new though. However you cut it Apocalypse was a disappointment box office wise and I understand why. It's been 16 years now, even I'm getting bored and the Xmen are my favourite franchise. Much more excited for any future X-Force or New Mutants movie than I am for a boring 90s Xmen sequel at this point. Anything new is an improvement.

Because in the Old Man Logan story, he loses his healing factor; which is why he basically never ages.

It's an interesting comic arc since most X-Men are dead in that timeline.

If Avatar 2 just gets released, the first carries the franchise straight into the Top 20. The new one will make some bank, though probably not nearly what the first did. Alice was a bad movie and Alice 2 is even worse; Avatar was known as this visual spectacle that needed the big screen. Don't doubt Cameron, he could pull something to get the sequels down the GP's throat.
