The Alan Carr version was the only truly beautiful/good performance of the song and I think a part of that is because that was during the height of her depression and the media were tearing her apart. It came from her soul and she just let it pour out.

I don't think she had legit depression, like that's something that doesn't go away in a few weeks I think she was just being dramatic. I think she was depressed though
If Gaga really wanted an Rap hit, she shouldn't have let the release of that Kendrick collab get ****ed up. Especially since BDKMV went on to become a smash on Hip-Hop radio (actually, I just heard it on the radio today ). I don't know who's to blame for that: her team or his, but they made a mistake on her part.

You can tell from that performance that she was sad though.. but she also looked really down and not herself when she performed Marry The Night there too so maybe it's just a part of her acoustic persona? Idk.
