Dan Wilson produced a sex song for Red
"The Last Time", the Snow Patrol collaboration, will feature a line about kissing in the rain. She likes love films that end with a confession, airport, running or kissing (in the rain).

So there's a Train co-write?
"I'd love to co-write with you but I don't want your voice on my album" I wonder if he got offended
by the way that quote is just what I imagined she said, she didn't actually say it

I mean, if there's 6 co-wrotes... Liz Rose, Max Martin/Shellback x2, Ed Sheeran, Dan Wilson and Pat Monahan? Which would mean Snow Patrol didn't contribute any lyrics to their duet? Or maybe "The Last Time" is a co-write with both Dan Wilson and Snow Patrol? Or maybe the Pat Monahan one is one of the bonus tracks?

Trains lyrics are cringe worthy but I'm sure Taylor will fix any corny cringeworthy lyrics that Pat came up with

Maybe when she said 10 solo writes she was including the bonus tracks?

Nah.
"There are sixteen songs on the album. I wrote ten of them by myself and I wrote six of them with other people."

What do you mean the lyrics to Hey Soul Sister are amazing.
Quote:
I'm so obsessed
My heart is bound to beat
Right out my untrimmed chest
I believe in you Like a virgin, you're Madonna
And I'm always gonna wanna
blow your mind
|
So touching. So beautiful. He's a lyrical genius.
But for reals ya'll I'm kind of side-eyeing some of her "people I've always wanted to work with".

Now that she's back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there's time a to change, hey, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey
Tell me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the milky way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated
Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there
Now that she's back from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, hey
She checks out Mozart while she does tae-bo
Reminds me that there's room to grow, hey, hey
Now that she's back in the atmosphere
I'm afraid that she might think of me as plain ol Jane
Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land
Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the milky way
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there
Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you... even when I know you're wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone
Conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had... And me
Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the milky way
|
What kind of flaw-free, perfectly sensical lyrics? That soy latte line especially cuts so deep. The Lord can learn so much from him.

For some reasons, I'm having a hard time believing she has totally forgotten her roots.

Taylor could never write that well. She was just in the room for moral support, probably contributed a word and got a co-write out of it.

Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol and Train.
She really did troll me with those collabs.

I will pretend this LP never happens. I cringe at those collabs.
