mm I think you didn't understand my post.
1) I wasn't critizing Rihanna's sales, my point was that if an artist from the moment (Rihanna) with huge singles and support from all the markets that don't support Britney like for example UK and Germany the best she can sell is 3million copies, then logically that mark is way harder for Britney Spears. 1 + 1 = 2, as simple as that.
2) it doesn't matter that "Get lucky" was outshadowed it was still a huge hit, and the fact that they have sold 2,2million mark also receiving huge support from all the markets in the world, including markets that currently don't support that much Britney like UK , Germany, Italy, Netherlands, etc , doesn't give me much hope.
3) Yeah Justin is more of a north american act right now, but he still came back with strong success and support and his sales are not groundbreaking either. which clearly reflects the weak industry we have now.
and finally, I think we all now that P!nk and Taylor Swift are very well known for their unique consistence in sales , something that its not Britney's case, so I wouldn't use them as references
IMO realistically , with this industry its extremely hard that Britney releases again a 3million seller album , even is the album is musically great.
I'm hoping for a 2million selling one for her 8th album. that would be OK for an 8th album, after 15 years in the industry, for this current climate in music industry and not to mention would be an improvement from "Femme Fatale". I would be fine with that.
