Only the Almighty God knows why Kelly refuses to do these kind of ad-libs in the studio. I'm gonna burn the audio from the performance and just bop to that from now on.

Meh. The song is still boring; I think it's cuz of the band/instrumentals. This is probably the first time I prefer the studio version but I do love her ad libs. You can tell she was trying so hard to stay on pitch just cuz of Mariah's expectations.

Last night’s show was up 11% from last week’s fast nationals and 7% above April 4′s final numbers. The highest rated show of the night, Idol actually had its most watched Thursday in five weeks with 12.7 million viewers.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if the fact that TBBT was a repeat had something to do with it too
Edit: Looking at the half hours Idol actually went up a lot more than usual from a 2.7 in the first half hour to a 3.4 in the half hour Kelly performed. I'll just assume people changed the channel when they found out Kelly was performing later
They should have at least made a lyric video so that we can rack up some views/streaming points until the video comes out. Get it together KC's team!
There are a million things RCA "should have" done with Kelly's career. But, as stans, we have to accept that they never will be on top of things. Hopefully when she switches labels for album 7 we'll get some flawless promotion, remixes and discounts to get those #1's
Isn't her contract specifically with 19 Recordings? She can move to another label under RCA but something tells me she'll be too lazy to move anywhere.
And I wouldn't mind a pop country label scooping her up. She'll be treated like royalty.
Maybe she can practice opening for Adam and promote their tour.
