I don't know why Fox didn't negotiate that merchandising as part of the lease with Spider-man.

No sis, Marvel owns the rights to the animated series. Thats why its not airing on tv rn or prob never will as long as Fox owns the live action rights.

I could be wrong but pretty sure Marvel has the animated rights.

I just watched it and omg it was so good!!!
Yes it has its flaws, but I'd say that it's not far behind "Civil War".
It's the 2nd best movie of the new trilogy, better than "First Class".

And Evan Peters looked so damn good in that suit.

they made the deal as disney can use spiderman in their movies, spiderman movie will be part of mcu and marvel film will be involved.
Sony still owns the right and movie will be made by thrm, distribute by them. They will get all the money from spiderman movie too.
