Hillary was definitely a better option, OBVIOUSLY, but as usual, ATRL stayed within its bubble and thought that what happened here was an indicator of the outside world. All of us stans here with Hillary avis didn't affect anything in country whatsoever.
Fact remains that far too many people (wrongly) HATE Hillary for a landslide.

All the polls pointed toward a Hillary victory.. it wasn't "Our bubble"
I can't @ the entire media and 98% of celebrities being anti Trump yet he's winning so far
I don't like either of them but I guess Hillary would have been the better choice
Most celebrities live in California, which isn't going to Trump anyway.
People are sick of political correctness and leftist ideologies imposed on them as if they were the truth. People are sick of having to use preferred pronouns or being called racist/sexist/homophobic for no valid reasons. People are sick of Christianity being tarnished while radical Islam is relativised and swept under the carpet. I'm not talking about young Bernie supporters from big cities, I'm talking about ordinary people from rural areas. They stick to their traditions and feel violated attacked by a bunch of mad social justice fighters.
I'm not saying I support this or think it's bad. It's just how it is. I think that equal rights for people is a noble idea fought for by great people such as Martin Luther King. But it went in the wrong direction and too far, turning into being an oppressive, racist (the irony!) and fascist ideology.
Even if Hillary doesn't ultimately win this, the huge support for Trump is a reflection of this.
This post is brilliant.
I've always felt these to be the biggest reasons behind Trumps huge following.
Okay, sistren. Calm down and stop worrying about betting odds of all things. As expected, votes in some of the blue strongholds of swing states are starting to come in and more remain.
Michigan: only 11% of Wayne (Detroit) and 1% of Washtenaw (Ann Arbor) are in.
