Artists are idiots. They get 6 days of sales for their first week. That's why some artists do release on Monday, example, Taylor
Same goes for the digital songs...
Either way, I always thought the release date was traditionally on Tuesdays so they would have a full chart week of sales... (and they did the same on songs just to match the tradition of albums)...
Doesn't make sense, but still... I think they do that so it coincides with WW chart, maybe?
Although the WW chart is reliable, it's not really credible, so I hardly think they would do anything to coincide with the WW chart week, even because the WW chart always waits the US sales to create its chart...
