Focus was always gonna rocket to the high end. Even Sam smith did and he doesnt have her rabid pop following. But this song is no threat to Adele it sounds like problems poor cousin. Sad she doesnt seem to be progressing and expanding her audience. A more vocal showcase song wouldve been a good move at this point if she wants to survive the Adele age. This is typical froth. And her look is a bit tacky tbh.

Final estimates
1. Hello 1,228,000*
2. Sorry 277,000
3. Hotline Bling 164,000
4. The Hills 88,000
5. What Do You Mean? 81,000
6. Stitches 80,000
7. Ex's & Oh's 78,000
8. Wildest Dreams 76,000
9. Downtown 71,000
10. Like I'm Gonna Lose You 70,000
11. Die A Happy Man 68,000
12. Perfect 60,000
13. Same Old Love 58,000
14. Home 58,000
15. On My Mind 55,000
16. 679 54,000
17. Used To Love You Sober 49,000
18. Here 47,000
19. Locked Away 42,000
20. Confident 40,000

*The HDS figure will likely be lower due to people first buying the single (which counts towards the iTunes song chart) and afterwards pre-ordering the album (converting it into an instant grat, which doesn't count). People who immediately pre-ordered the album and received the song are not included in the estimate.
The only evidence for this that I've seen is the release of One Direction's "Infinity" which happened the same week their album was put up for pre-order. The HDS figure was quite a bit lower than the estimate, and this is the only reasonable way to explain it.

No, iTunes popularity doesn't update fast enough to do such short-term estimates, nor do we know how iTunes calculates popularity (other than it being a good indication of sales in the past 24 hours). This is just an automated estimate based on the available data.
I think she sold quite a bit more than 8k.

Damn 8K in an hour? That's actually amazing. Apparently Focus is up for a REALLY good start.

I don't think Focus is going to be as big as most of ATRL is making it out to be. I see it doing Sorry numbers.

So it's probably going to be about 1.1m after the few instant grat conversions are taken into account.

The Focus verses are better than Problem's. They make the song good.

For Bieber...
Sales = 277,000 = 27,700
Radio = 30M = 3,488
Streams = 25M (did around 9-10M streams On-Demand & video has 45M views) = 33,784
Total: 64,972
It'll should debut #2 on Hot 100 unless Drake's streams turn out higher than expected.
If Adele released next week he would literally have 2 #1 debuts in 2015. Last time an artist did two in one year was Mariah in 1995 (and the only other time).
Comeback of the Decade (in terms of comebacks from social/commercial declines).

Focus already #3 yes bitch Imagine when the What Do You Mean? remix is released
Focus on Problem really aren't that similar to me. And she looks gorgeous in the video.
