Shakira / Rihanna / BEP were indeed robbed, but this has nothing to do with Lady Gaga. Every of her 13 nominations are well-deserved, "Bad Romance" and "Telephone" were the best and most-discussed videos of the year and you know it.
"Video Phone" shouldn't have gotten that many nominations, but it's a fun video, very MTV-style, nothing wrong here too.

I think VMA should have given other artists opportunities, because GaGa could be nominated with ONE song in each category, instead of two. I'd say it's fair if she was nominated like for Video of The year with bad romance ONLY now why is Telephone therE? not saying its not deserving but cmon.
It will be even harder for her to win with two songs in almost every category although if what I saw it's true she probably will win.
(dont know if it's true but I saw a GaGa fan on twitter posting some link to cheat on VMA votes)

I can understand how someone could see the VMAs as overrating Gaga with all the noms. Personally I think she deserves every last one of them, but still, I can understand it.
However the problem with someone like Pedro is that it's not just about the VMAs - he thinks everything Gaga-related (like Twitter, for example), is overrated and the result of cheating.

You are not getting it. Why should they not nominate a video just because there's already another one nominated from that artist? That would be totally unfair.
There were tons of amazing videos this year, but they are not better than "Bad Romance" or "Telephone" that's why they were nominated instead.

As you can imagine I don't remember the nominees (fully) but I think California Gurls isn't nominated for Video Of The Year and it's my favorite video of the year, that was so unfair, and Rude Boy actually deserved to be there. It's like I GET exactly what you trying to say, but I never saw VMA doing that and I think they just went over the top, but it's just my opinion. It was also unfair, so many amazing videos not being nominated.
The worst of all was Best choreography which is Give It Up To Me by Shakira and they put some videos that they dont even dance
