Seriously though are people really surprised? Just like how Adele was considered Anti-gaga when she blew up in 2011, this year is another perfect time to come out because what have we gotten all year? The radios have been shoving Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, etc. down radio listeners throats. There have been no vocalists at all on pop radio.
It's like radios are finally going to have decent vocals to play and it makes people all the more willing to spend their coins if they can hear the others j even a smudge less.
Still a dreadful video, but it's to be expected as it's the most anticipated comeback of the decade, so it's not really that much of an achievement in perspective. But congrats Adele, the predictable slayage of her new era is amazing.
The swifties
"oh I never cared about this record"
"soooo predictable"

People downplaying this achievement. I mean, yeah the sales were expected but the slayage of this video (especially when compared to Bad Blood) was not.
