"You Had Me" + "Eight Easy Steps"
And excellent #1 video, too.
Anyways, here's what to expect for next week:
* A countdown debut from a supergroup whose lead singer 'falls to pieces' when he's all alone.
* Another debut from a new rock band from Nevada which heard from somebody that "you had a boyfriend, who looked like a girlfriend that I had in February of last year."
* And we say goodbye to two bands with single-word names that look like two words put together.
First off, based on different sources I have looked at, there's not really an agreement on Jamie Cullum's run(s) on the countdown around these months. Some people (like the recappers on the Pulse Music Boards) acted like "All at Sea" and "Frontin'" were a packet; thus, whatever run "Frontin'" has was a continuation of the run established by "All at Sea" (which wouldn't be unbelievable, since "Frontin'" seems to debut right where "All at Sea" leaves off).
I, however, treated both videos' runs as independent from each other for the sake of clarity/less mass confusion. If anyone has any information about these two videos, though, feel free to give it to me. The fact of the matter is that it was in this week when they started playing "Frontin'" instead of "All at Sea." THAT I am sure about.
Lastly, "Frontin'" doesn't have a concept video. Instead (and if I'm not mistaken), VH1 aired a live version of the song. I think it was from his Live at vh1.com show, but I'm not sure. Furthermore, I can't find the video anywhere, so I posted one that could be it (not sure, however). So again, if someone can attest to this being the right video above or has any information on where to find the one VH1 actually showed, feel free to tell me.
The Killers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And so began my love affair with this amazing band...
Here's what to expect for next week:
* A brand-new #1 video.
* THREE "rocking" countdown debuts, including:
>> One from a California rock band coming back hard after the Warning they gave us back in 2000 (with the winning video of the Viewer's Choice award at the 2005 VMAs).
>> Another one from a South African rock band, featuring the lead singer's future girlfriend and lead singer of Evanescence.
>> And the last one by a Christian rock group, with the easiest dareever.
* And of course we say goodbye to three videos in the bottom half of the countdown.
Boy! It felt great to be able to post the countdown once again after what I like to call "Hell Days" (i.e., finals). And it was nice to be able to post a week with such awesome debuts.
Anyway, here's what to expect for next week:
* A different #1 video.
* A countdown debut from a rapper who wants to show you his place.
* A second countdown debut from the video that won the Viewer's Choice award at the 2004 VMAs.
* And we bid adieu to a mouse () and a woman.
