It's interesting to see the bestseller list and how top-heavy it is.
Like for YA/kids' fiction, only 2 even got 10k copies last week - Paper Towns and the Descendants prequel. And the only ya/kids' releases this year to get to 100k are the latter plus the latest Dork Diaries.
But then you look at the biggest books overall this year, and 3 have crossed a million including Go Set a Watchman in 3 weeks. Which is, say, 2 more works that have crossed a million than in the music industry this year.
I did read both the Descendants prequel and a Dork Diaries to see what the deal-io was. They're both okay, but probably below my age range.
I know they're not fashionable these days but Agatha Christie books still make for a great read... I'm reading And Then There Were None at the moment and it's truly gripping.

Sanderson both at the top and bottom. Cuz he should stop trying Young Adult fiction imo; feels like he's talking down to the reader with how simplistic things are.
Has anyone read Connor Franta's book? I'm thinking about getting it because I like him a lot but I'm really skeptical about YouTuber books. Is it any good?

Agatha Christie's books are still incredible, Poirrot still remains one of my fave detective characters.
