Here's a song that I made to celebrate this new record in another brit thread.
THE POWER OF BRITNEY SPEARS
SHE LETS YOU TALK UNTIL YOU CHOKE!
George Bush is probably the most talked about, the most written about political character in the whole world... probably because he's also the worst one. I don't think it's a "power."

There's a difference between the two though. Bush won't be talked about after he's out of office. He's talked about BECAUSE he's the president. They do talk about him more because he's a BAD president, but when he's not the president at all nobody will talk. Britney Spears is not an elected official. There is no real reason to be talking about her, except for the public's fascination with her and her life.
I guess we can throw her supposed 'comeback' out the window then right? I dont see how ANYONE could recover from such media backlash ... Mariah had her big breakdown but it wasnt nearly as big as what Britney is going through. Britney's been in this downward spiral for the past 2 or so years, plus her life was much more an open book than Mariah's so this isn't even the end of the media ridicule for Britney. She will always be talked about.
She needs another 2 years off before she releases anything ... maybe move to Namibia or something, she needs to make a dramatic move to FORCE people to stop talking about her and get herself together.

Britney needs a vacation....plain and simple, she needs it as fast as she comes out of Rehab, she has enough money to go to a spa and go to a vacation so great she will remember it forever, hope for Britney!

You can always find differences between them of course ... All I mean is: Britney's private life is very talked about because it's as bad as President Bush's policy (which is, the same way, very very talked about)

How is going out without any underwear on the same as sending 20,000 troops to Iraq??

I really don't think ,moving far away is the answer.
Sources tell TMZ that Britney's doctors have two operating theories -- either that she suffers from post-partum depression or bipolar disorder. The doctors strongly believe post-partum is the problem.
As for substance abuse, as one source says, "No doubt about it - she likes to drink." But doctors believe the drinking is a way Spears has coped with a bigger problem.
We're told Britney, who is sticking it out at the Promises rehab facility in Malibu, is currently reading Brooke Shields' book, "Down Came the Rain," in which Shields reveals her battle with post-partum depression.
We're told doctors believe Spears' problem is complicated by an intense feeling on her part that she has lost control of her life.
Well it makes sense. Some of the things that increase the risk are:
History of depression or substance abuse
Family history of mental illness
Little support from family and friends
Anxiety about the fetus
Problems with previous pregnancy or birth
Marital or financial problems
Young age (of mother)
Britney has a least four of the seven things in her life that increase the risk. Plus it is one of the most common pregnancy complications. She really couldn't help being crazy. Hopefully she will make a full recovery and huge comeback!!
Poor Brit. Mean ole' people reaping profits off of her drama!
Sure to be a collectors item, for all those crazed fans. You know, the ones that have been shaving their own heads in support... no seriously. I like how they gave her a "Barbie" figure. The doll is currently fetching a bid for $152.00!

But again, Britney's life doesn't affect millions of people and it doesn't HAVE to be talked about is my point.
