"House of Cards" was a promotional single from In Rainbows. The song was a moderate success on the rock charts. The music video features Thom Yorke and other scenery with lidar technology.
I'm really shocked by the placement of this song. It actually was in the top 10 for quite a while (I blame Great Username for dropping out of the top 10). It's definitely my favorite of Radiohead's ambient and calm tracks. It has such an understated beauty to it. It's majestic, simple, and a great artistic statement. 9.1
"Planet Telex" is the second The Bends track leaving. It was recorded while all the members of the band were drunk as ****, and originally was titled "Planet Xerox" but because of copyright reasons, had to be renamed. The track has very atmospheric keyboards, possibly being an indicator of the music they would explore later on.
Ouch. This one hurts! It's definitely in my top 10 Radiohead songs ever. The keyboards drew me in, but Thom has such powerful and convincing vocals on the song. Everything is irresistible. The fact that they were drunk really makes it seem like a less mechanic Radiohead track, and more free spirited. 9.9
In Rainbows and The Bends really took beatings today. Another In Rainbows track leaves us (the third one!) and it's the final "official" single from the album. The song was released through different stems on Radiohead's site, allowing many fans to make their own remixes of the song. This is the second version of "Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses" and the general consensus is it is much better by critics, fans, and ATRL.
Now I wish I had given this a higher score. The guitars in the song are some of their best, and the entire song sends chills down my spine. A one point change wouldn't have made much of a difference though. 8
wow, Planet Telex is out? i thought that was one of the favorite radiohead songs of a lot of people
those In Rainbow tracks not being higher hurt too , hopefully 15 Step is in the top 5
i think nr 1's gonna be either No Surprises or Paranoid Android
