It's good that way, the earlier it becomes available for pre-order the better. It raises awareness for the new album and also means the album will shoot straight to the top at midnight on release day (assuming it gets enough pre-orders)!

Are you sure that's how it works? I mean accumulating the pre-order sales data to appear on the first day when its actually released?

I remember in 2010 Marina & The Diamonds' debut was certified Gold based on pre-orders, before the album was even released. If the album had enough pre-orders for it to go to #1 then it'll go to #1 straight away. I might be wrong but that's what I've seen in the past.

I think the secret collaborator is quite controversial and it'll indeed become the second single.
