Solid album. Alive was much better, her best album yet. But there are some great songs on this one too: Fire, Your Loss I'm Found, Strip, You Don't Really Know Me.
Just listened. Really good album. Love almost every song. I think Sweet Talker, Personal, and Bang Bang are my ultimate favorites, but I also love love love Burnin Up, Masterpiece, Get Away and Fire.
Seal Me With A Kiss is basic (sounds like it should be on Alive) but I don't hate it.
Keep Us Together is basic and boring.
I would have cut those two songs but other than that, great job Jessie!
I am listening to this right now at work..... YES Jessie this album is very solid!
Sweet Talker should be a single like RIGHT now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Followed by Personal and Strip.
Top 5:
1. Sweet Talker
2. Personal
3. Keep Us Together
4. Get Away
5. Strip
She vocally shines in the low as the upper register. She used her voice incredibly well on this album. Sweet Talker is filled with obvious smashes. I would find it really intriguing if she released Sweet Talker as the next single, given the fact it's different from her past singles and from everything on mainstream radio. It's the perfect bridge between pop, rnb and soul.
I think Jessie J is the perfect example of an artist that can be appreciated on all formats.
Artists like Jessie are rare and it's time for people to realise that. Her vocal control is unmatched, her stage presence is off tha chain. She is the only white girl that can own a stage like a black girl and that's a blessing and back it up with vocals and breathing control where 99.9% in the industry can learn from.
There where black rnb artists are inspired by and study Beyonce and Brandy's vocal skills - white artists should study Jessie J. Point, blank and THE period.
