Because you, Sam, had the longbow that could extend a second location, I was trying to write it up that you shot BudBud in "secret" without him knowing where it came from. I guess I wasn't clear enough, but Bud wasn't going after Sam.
Also, along with Guero, it had to be in the same location for the night lock to work.
