It's the level of stans on ATRL that watch. I mean, The X Factor had a HUGE thread on ATRL solely because Britney was on it. Meanwhile, nobody actually watched or cared about the show.
Idol has a built in audience, plus the Barbz and Lambs were in there spamming for their faves.

Stans for male artists are almost non-existent on ATRL. The Shakira stans have taken over for the Xtina stans this season, but Shakira isn't giving us anything special on The Voice... thus the thread isn't popping.
