Initially the chorus underwhelmed me, but even after one listen I couldn't get it out of my head.
After a few more listens, I love it! It's very powerful, almost in a cathartic sense. It hit's like an old-school 90's power ballad, with modern production.
And the little parts which don't seem like much, actually turn out to be major ear-worms; namely the "You took it all, but I'm still breathing" part of the bridge.
Not as great as Chandelier, but a very solid effort.
What a boring song. Sia is so much better than this generic mess. There where times when she could deliver without just screaming the same sentence over and over again.

Although the chorus is repetitive, I do think its effective at the message the song is saying. Slay Sia and Adele

Sometimes, like in this case, simpler is better. This is a powerful track for the masses.

It's not the message. The whole production and her performance are as mediocre as possible and I'm a Sia fan from the very beginning. And seriously: Can you imagine Adele singing that song? It's just boring. But I'm happy everyone else is enjoying that future smash.

Actually I can imagine Adele singing the song. I would say one thing I don't really see Adele singing in the repetitive I'm Alive parts but I'm sure it was tweaked in some way which fits Adele
I'm feeling the f*** out of this, but do you guys think recording songs like this tears the s*** out of her vocal chords?
I think she'll just do a pre-recorded track if she promos this on televised performances like she did with Chandelier so its okay. But yeah I bet it does lol
