Ariel wanted to be a human before she even saw Eric. In fact when she first sings Part of your world, she hasnt seen him. In fact she sings Part of THAT World. Eric was just a catalyst that forced her to actually take action. Shes basically a symbol for people who feel born in the wrong body. Transexuals, people with eating disorders etc. Or people that just feel part of the wrong community in some way. It has nothing to do with "Oh He cute, lemme drastically change my whole life just for him" that people want to reduce it too.
BATB's message is all about inner beauty. Belle's outer beauty would mean nothing if she wasn't so different and special on the inside. The whole Little Town song is about how different she is, if she didnt read/think/want adventure people would think she was just another cute girl.
The point of the movie is, Beast = bad looking but good inside, and Gaston = good looking but bad inside and we know who she chooses
Aurora was under a spell its not her fault she was asleep. What was she supposed to do? Sleep walk and go slay a dragon? She was basically in a coma. Plus Phillip could never slay Maleficent if it wasnt for the 3 FEMALE fairies giving him magic
When did the prince protect Snow White? He basically comes out of the woods and kisses her. And just like Aurora? Wtf is she to do? Wake up from her coma?
We also have to remember these are based on very old folk tales told for hundreds of years.
Ordered Hercules, Tarzan, and A Bug's Life on Bluray from Disney Movie Club and USPS is being the pits. They "attempted" to deliver my package today but nothing arrived. Now I have to call them and figure out where my package is at because they left no notice.
