I agree with you brandnewdrew but at the same time I'm glad that the album is a bit more lighter overall. Sia's albums are quite somber sonically for the most part, with the exception of We are Born. This is a nice change up with very much the same mature lyrical content, but in a more pop/accessible nature. I wish there were more Kill and Run type songs on the album though.

The best songs on the album for me are

Chandelier
Big Girls Cry
Burn the pages
Eye of the needle
Straight for the knife
Free The Animal (just a personal favorite)
Fire meet Gasoline
Cellophane
Dressed in black ( a bit too long but an amazing outro to a really really good album)

The rest of the songs like Hostage and Fair Game are really good too but they don't stand out to me as much as the others. Elastic Heart is great but I feel like she should have put in something else for it.

I'm not really sure what would be a good second single honestly. BGC or Burn The Pages? Maybe Free The Animal?

Big girls Cry, Free The Animal, Fire Meet Gasoline would do well but I know why it should be avoided too. I think burn the pages would be okay too.

The second single is whatever they push on radio. Eye of the needle is just a promo track as of now but could be boosted to single later. Same with big girls cry. They're just instant grat tracks as a part of iTunes pre order promo.

Anyone else think that Sia's voice has gone through some damage from all the drinking and drugs. Throughout the album she's got a lot of vocal cracks going on. She did say she used heavily after 2010 and her voice isn't husky but her sound isn't as bright as it used to be if anyone knows what I mean.
