You guys will find out your results and see what will be on the Quiz this evening. I'm starting to put everything together now, but for this round of judging there will only be three judges because I can't really sit through 14 videos and write up rates with the way I am now.
Don't forget to check this Mission's introduction post to "study" the post count chart, as it will be used for some questions on the Quiz.
Thank you all for gathering here in the Common Room this evening. This week, you were assigned with the task of sending me music videos that you felt delivered a strong story, be it emotional or otherwise. Along with the video you were expected to give a short write-up about the story and why you felt it was a good choice.
Under this drop-down menu are all of your entries. Let's take a look at what everyone submitted.

I really, really want to send in Thinking of You... that's a choice I really believe in and I think it deserves a good score. However, I know it would be judged unfairly and that video means a lot to me so I'm not gonna submit it and let it get trashed by any judge. So, instead, I'll submit:
You Belong With Me is your typical dream love story. A nerdy young girl is in love with her neighbor, who is really popular football player with a cheerleader girlfriend who is way hotter than the nerdy girl. Their relationship is rocky because she's a trip and he isn't really happy, and the nerdy young girl wishes he would realize that he would be happy if he were with her instead of Hitler reincarnated as a 17 year old girl. The cheerleader and football player get into several fights, all leading up to the night of the school dance. The nerdy girl says she isn't going and the football player replies that he "wishes she was", so she changes her mind, pulls a Cinderella, and goes to the dance and finally reveals her love for him, which he reciprocates. Everyone lives happily ever after, except that bitch cheerleader with the fake-ass weave.
You didn't say if you wanted an embedded link or not but I bet this was like the last thing you expected a Ke$ha stan such as myself to send.
This is about a boy who is taken by Children Services to see his dad for the first time who lives in Oklahoma. I not only chose this because it was completely unexpected, but because the story line fits well with the song, and is simple, yet beautiful.
(p.s. sorry about that annoying beginning, Billy Gilman doesn't have a VEVO )

I think this video shows how bad war can be in a person's life, it also has a great love story destroyed by a pathetic action, pretty emotional to be honest.

Rihanna x Man Down
Rihanna Fenty, a young, Bajan beauty, goes home to visits her family in her native land Barbados, after making it big in America.
The video begins with an intimidating man walking through a busy crowd and a gun shot sounds, and he is thrown to the ground. The scene captures Rihanna welding a gun, behind a window, on the second floor of a building with tears and pain in her eyes. She fleds the scene.
The setting goes back, to a day earlier, to explain the subsequent events. It shows Rihanna going home and being greeted by all her neighbors and family. She seems joyful, vibrant, and like she is having a great time.
During this night, Ms. Fenty visits a local night club. She is dancing seductively in the corner as the same intimidating man from the beginning of the video approaches her. She tells him she has to leave, and heads home. He doesn't take no for an answer and stalks behind her. On her way through the winding alleys and streets, he approaches her again, but with force. He throws her to the ground and raps her. We see scenes of her, in her room, alone, crying and having a meltdown, then she makes a bold choice.
He must die for what he did to her.
I chose this video, because it doesn't sugarcoat anything and tells a story for what it is. No, this may not be the best way in real life, and no this is not what rape victims should also do in every circumstance, but it is an excellent tale of revenge, regret, and pain.

With the help of this (at the time) cutting edge, narrative driven video, A-Ha's "Take On Me" topped the Billboard charts in 1985, and won 6 MTV VMAs in the process. The special effects in this video helped to tell a powerful story of love, danger, and excitement - all torn between the real world and a fantasy world existing only inside a comic book. A girl reading a comic in a cafe is suddenly plunged into the world of the comic, meeting her love interest and narrowly escaping from enemies. When the cafe's waitress throws out the comic book, the danger ramps up and the hero and the girl are forced to put their love affair on hold as they navigate the panels of the comic to escape danger. Towards the end, we see the comic book hero transitioning between the two realms, eventually breaking out into the real world so that he and the girl can be together. This video portrays a unique and strong narrative, which even over 20 years later resonates.
In the video Louise Oriole (Madonna) is a depressed alcoholic female executive who looks for happiness in all the wrong places. She sleeps with various men of different backgrounds, from low lives to wealthy men. She does this as a way to get over her sadness of never getting a chance to find love. Christopher Walker her guardian angel watches over her, until he gives her the kiss of death with the last sexual encounter she has with a man. She dies soon after, and maybe she can find love after death.
In this video, Beyoncé plays a cop who basically pays her husband dust. He makes her breakfast, buys her earrings, and goes home to see her instead of hanging out with his friends. All this while she goes out with co-workers and grinds against a white man. So really she plays a bitch. My favorite part of the video is the twist near the end. The roles of the two change: Beyoncé is the supportive wife, her husband is the prick who doesn't appreciate her.
if its taken i'll look for another, Taylor seems to have the best storylines

The story is about a starlet who gets thrown over a balcony by her boyfriend. She survies and recovers from the fall. Lady Gaga's characters seeks revenge on her boyfriend by murdering him. I chose this because it's one of my favorite Lady Gaga music videos. It's so fierce.

Please note that although Marnie sent in the same video as someone else, I instructed the judges not to take any points off because I failed to notify Marnie before the deadline that their entry had been chosen already.
Now as you may notice, three members of your team have failed to submit anything. PelicanFly, Arris1314, & ****YesLovato. However, I have decided to eliminate PelicanFly on the spot because of their lack of participation. So there will only be two zeros against the group average instead of three.
Now while you're looking at all the entries, I will be putting together the results and compiling questions for the Quiz. Both results and the Quiz will be up sometime this evening. Thank you all for your patience.
