As a Tekken fan, I'm definitely joining in! The announcement of Tekken 7 was such a shocking surprise for me. I'm intrigued to see Kazumi's role in the new game. She might turn out to be more interesting than we think.

I've always stanned for Tekken ever since I was a little boi. Hopefully Tekken 7 isn't a let down like Tekken 6. The customization better slay, because that's an element in a game that really hooks me, especially since they've kept basically everyone's costumes the same (minus Yoshumitsu and Lars, and probably a couple of more)

I absolutely agree about the storyline. Especially if T7 is the final game in the series (I hope it isn't ), we need a satisfactory and effective conclusion.

I've always hated the vagueness surrounding Jun's character, so I hope that Kazumi is handled better.

Speaking of new characters, none of them seem to be tied to the main plot of the game (except for Kazumi). New girls might not have serious storylines, but Shaheen comes across as mysterious.

It's the final game in the story but not the series overall. It needs to be rebooted after this.

This game is desperate for a reboot and a direction change. I'm not talking time skips or anything. Like a serious hard reset. I mean, obviously keep the iconic and original characters but in a new format.

As long as Harada is in charge, we aren't going to see that. He is so much like Itagaki from DOA that he wasn't allowing the series to go until he was let go. Only then was DOA was allowed to grow.

Harada is becoming a problem. He's stuck in his own mindset and it's either "like it or gtfo".

Rogue is on point as always, Harada has done great for the series in the past but now he has to go.
His idol fixation is a big part in why Chloe's design is obnoxious and the concept art is better.

The idol costumes, the anime yuri pandering with Lili and Asuka half the cast becoming jokes.
And on top of that any suggestions and criticisms is met with offense and his translator is no better.

Both need to go.

People **** on DOA for being a joke but they take their fans seriously at least and appreciates the feedback.

Yep! It's just becoming very tired at this point. Harada is becoming too enamored with anime inspired culture that it's hurting the series. Asuka had a lot of promise in Tekken 5 but that all changed when Lili was put into this lesbian-eqsue rivalry. Like they are both jokes.

Tbh I can't think of a character outside the Kazama-Mishima storyline that wasn't half assed or a joke. I mean at least Steve/Leo showed some type of interest but this series needs some fresh new strong ideas and concepts. From character designs, stories, stages, customization, gameplay, music and aesthetics.

And while many people like to **** on DOA, they actually care and listen to the fans. And the one thing I truly admire is how fresh they try and keep the game. DOA5 came out in 2012 I believe and they are still supporting the current iteration. The developers are allowing fans to design costumes for the characters and are designing lots and lots of DLC including new stages and characters. Yeah it maybe overpriced a bit but it's still a good step in the right direction. I wish TTT2 was still getting new content, it died too quickly.

I'm honestly just glad the women's body's don't look disproportionate and manish. Kat and Josie's breasts do look bigger than expected in Tekken. Lili is looking THICK now!

Also, I love how blatantly a lot of games are trying to drive in the point of like, look its a new generation of consoles now, but the only thing they figured out how to do that with was random flowing objects.
in Bloodborne EVERYTHING was a long flowing coat, almost all the enemies had like long flowing hair.
Necali in Street Fighter with his crazy hair. Also cammy's long pigtails.
Gigas and Yoshimitsu with their weird tubes and tentacles. It's like look how new and shiny everything is with these silly things that defy gravity and just end up looking quite awful.

The best part is how all the loose pieces almost always somehow jerk up into the heavens when the characters get reset.

Nina still hasn't been announced yet :P. Damn they've done her shoulders dirty for the past few games, but at least she doesn't have Asuka's ****ing MASSIVE hands as well :|

I hope they give Nina a nice redesign.. I'm scared they'll turn her into C.Viper like Capcom turned Karin into Lili

For all this wait, Nina better be top notch perfect. Appearance and gameplay wise. I hope they pull the red carpet out when they announce her.
