"No intimacy for two weeks" line, then Gaga says "I have nothing left to lose." And she is shown puking later on. So it is up for interpretation. Only Gaga!
I don't think she had an abortion. You can see that the other patients in that hospital are totally psychotics, look at the way they act and laugh. Plus there's a line (I don't remember exactly, but still) "The girl on the left, she asked for a knife and gummybears. I wish they only gave me gummybears". She must have done something suicide-related. But I'm not sure, who knows?
Meh, I was getting into it until the dance studio scene came on. I literally cringed when I saw that part, then cringed more because it was too long. The last 2 scenes saved the video though. There were few visually stunning parts + the acting is really natural.
Her Second Best Video. I loved it. In the lq version I saw, a bit of it was choppy and the dancing studio was a little overexposed. I loved her acting , the synth in the beginning of the song, the end
Now I want to watch it for the second time in hd on Vevo! (when they upload it )

I would cut down the dance scene remove the beginning of the car scene
My interpretation is that she was a young girl looking to make it in the business, became an alcoholic, & after being rejected by both men & record companies, attempted to commit suicide after she thought she would never reach stardom. The portion of the video where the song plays is her becoming who she was when Interscope signed her.
The begininng gave off a very slow start, but once the music started the tempo really picked up. The editing was messy with the car scenes, but the choreo *****. All in all, a good video, not her best, but still great.
