MESS at Mary Eunice coming back , the asylum was built in 1962 after the catholic church purchased it.

I hope that Esmeralda is discovered by the freaks and they turn her in to a freak, like in the Browning movie

That's what I immediately thought too.

It HAS to be a flash forward or the story being in the '60s by that point somehow or it wouldn't make sense!
