Basically I'd just say it's just the minimum of what would be considered Power Rotation, compared to the massive on-the-hour spins that songs like Blurred Lines and Roar have gotten.

Do it anyway. I got away with using reverse payola, iTunes payola, and YouTube/VEVO payola (all for We Can't Stop coincidentally ) anyway.
If it keeps up this pace is very likely but it may slow down next week so i'm guessing it'll peak around 11-12.
Why will it slow down next week?
Wrecking Ball will jump on it in 3 days but there are 5 other songs above it that are plummeting quite fast. With that Robin Thicke song and Slow Down gaining at a pace similar to SIY, it might just make it. I'm just worried that Gorilla is climbing fast as well.
By the way, overall updates are usually late during this day of the week, so I'd probably wait until a few hours after the Billboard article on digital sales come out.
no it wasn't. Songs on PR gets like 15-17 plays, but applause only gotten 11 max

It's been on PR on Z100 and gets between 12-15 spins a day.
Saying "power rotation" doesn't necessarily mean one set amount of spins. You can have a song in PR and it have 10 plays, or you can have a song in PR and have 20 plays a day. It's not a set number at all.
I don't understand what is going on with Applause and the US. I am glad it is doing well but it is so weird that all other major markets flushed down the song immediately and it is still holding quite well in the US. Usually the opposite happens. I wonder how much Interscope spent to keep the banner on i-tunes for so long.
I still can't believe how hard it flopped in countries like Australia.

That songs should of been Top 5 at least, it had the sales.
