It would probably curb the messiness significantly if he enforces it from now on.

I'm getting better @ this tbh. My posts are becoming more inquisitive and deep in thought. And I don't think it's me, Rem or Toysoldier who is spamming tbh

Actually, I will buy a round of ATRL+ for anyone who manages #1 with less than 10 posts in this thread in a week and who posts only in full paragraphs of 4 lines or more for the full week.
Like, the prevalence of frivolous posts in here and caused by this as an incentive is a bit too high right now. and should probably decrease. We don't need anyone banned from charting, or worse from the forum if you take it too far.

I'm so tired of people saying that I'm doing this for the ****ing charts. All I want to do is support people and their threads as well as be social and participate. I don't have any friends in real life and all I do is go to school and then come home and have nothing to do. It's not my fault that I do a lot of posts every week due to that but a lot of my posts always have a purpose and are relevant to the thread they're posted in. The only thread I really do a lot of posts in is Random Thoughts and that's obviously the place for all off-topic posting, but I still go all around the forum and also have my own threads in those areas as well so people post in my thread and I'll post in theirs. I hate being included in this, example or not.

Okay, I'll admit to abusing this thread a tiny bit, since no one is owning up to anything. We just thought we were having harmless fun with promoting singles and alberms but it did get messy, so I apologize for spamming this thread, I'll keep it cute and put more thought into my posts and let the numbers speak for itself

It's not bad that you promote your "singles", but in a moderate way, not promoting the same things 30 times in 4 pages. Last issue was in page 262, and that was 7 days ago, this issue was posted in 302. Those were 40 pages of the same promo over and over again haha, it was funny but there was a lot of spam.
And yes, when I said "new rules are coming" I was talking about this.

I actually think that enforcing the rule about posting (in this thread or otherwise) just for the sake of posting is certainly something that can't hurt.
Whenever I make a post that's over a couple of lines in length, I get accused of posting "college papers" and such nonsense... like there's nothing wrong with formulating a paragraph or two in order to express your opinion on something in detail.
Also, I'm glad that I wasn't included in that list of people who post just for the sake of posting (not that I necessarily agree with their being listed in there either), because that's honestly not the case with me. Users who post just for the sake of posting do not post messages such as these: http://atrl.net/?p=18350763
However, if rules are to be put in place I'd recommend that they don't leave anything to interpretation. Posting for the sake of posting is bad of course, but actively contributing in multiple areas of the site can be constructive and shouldn't be frowned upon under the guise of postwh0ring. Obviously posting messages about albums and singles and rewriting the same messages over and over in threads like these are pointless. But contributing to the Best Of threads and letting people know your opinion on their countdowns shouldn't be discouraged as that's what it's all about.

Thank you. This is exactly what I do and if I'm expected to give up things like Games, YTT and Best Of then you can ban me from charting for life.
