I disagree. I love Rated R and think it's amazing but it is not very cohesive. You have these amazingly deep and dark themed songs that are continuously interrupted by the songs geared toward mass appeal (Hard, R101, RB, TA) that don't match the tone of the rest of the album.

Whereas Loud is more of a cohesive effort, almost telling the story of one's love life throughout the years. Each song has a similar theme of love or lust and the album transcends through dating, relationship, and breakup. Rated R has amazing, masterpieces of songs, but the CD is not cohesive and songs about getting it in like Rude Boy or lesbian affairs like Te Amo kind of take away from the epic somberness of Fire Bomb, RR, CCL, and TLS when listened to as a whole.

I'mma need her next album to have commercial songs as well as edgy songs. A mixture between Loud and Rated R so it sells well while the fans are happy.

How is loud more cohesive than rated r? Rated r was perfect with telling a story. It showed who Rih is/was at the time and let us in on the deep side of her. I think it meshed well. Loud was rushed and is missing something

Loud is my favorite album because every song is different and has something unique about it. Skin >>> S&M. I dont know why I dont love S&M as much as the other songs.

To me, that's not cohesive. WYT, Hard, R101, RB, G4L, and Te Amo sound like they come from a different CD than the rest. I'm not saying Rated R isn't amazing, because I do love it - but it's not cohesive. This album is said to be dark and edgy, when half of the songs are not.

Whereas Loud has fewer and more similar themes that relates to each other. All songs rely on sex, fun, and breakup.

S&M, WMN, Cheers, RM = sex/fun
Fading, CKB, Complicated, Man Down, LTWYL2 = breakup
Only Girl, CKB = love
