Selena Gomez says she won’t “butcher” her Britney Spears tribute on her world tour.

The 18-year-old Disney actress-and-singer is currently promoting her latest single Who Says and has revealed plans for a Britney medley on her upcoming world tour this summer. The brunette beauty has admitted however that she won’t be re-creating Britney’s iconic dance routines, because she has too much to live up to.
“I don’t think so. I’m not going to even touch Britney! She’s so good. I wouldn’t want to butcher it, I’m just going to tribute to her!” she laughed to MTV.
The star says that although the announcement has not been made official, her team have been conjuring up plans to incorporate the tribute into her stage show. Selena, who is a self-confessed Britney fan, has admitted that she is “stooped” about the opportunity to cover her idol’s most beloved hits.
“We haven’t announced anything yet but I’m already creatively thinking about what I want and we are working on a few cover songs. We’re doing a Britney tribute which I’m so stoked about! I love Britney, I was like, ‘I have to do it, I wanna do a mash up of all her songs and just go for it,’” she explained. “We’re gonna do her hits Baby One More Time, and then I think we’re going to try to incorporate Toxic and that phase, and then we might do some of her recent stuff.”
