DRjuss06's Weekly Top 25, Week of December 5- December 11, 2016
THIS IS THE LAST CHART that will count for my Best of 2016 countdown. I would like to have a whole year worth of chart points for all the songs but due to time constraints I will stop now in order to put it together since last year I barely had time. Next year I might stop it at the same time or do a longer year (3 more weeks), we'll see. So to those that support my chart, thank you, seriously, thank you!!! I know I am the worse at returning the love since I don't have much time but I will try my hardest to follow all of your countdowns. As I've done for the past 3 years, my Best of will consist of how the songs performed on my weekly chart base on positions. Thank you again!!!
The Weeknd and Daft Punk return to the top spot of the chart for 4th nonconsecutive week on top after leaving the top spot 5 weeks ago. The song returns to the top spot after the release of its parent album of the same name. The song thus matches ZAYN's "Befour" as the 3rd longest-running #1 of 2016 after Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna's "This Is What You Came For" (8 weeks) and "Work" by Rihanna feat. Drake (7 weeks).
Talking about Calvin and Rihanna's TIWYCF, the song drops out of the top 10 after 25 consecutive weeks in the top 10 and 27 total. The song spent 18 of those weeks in the top 5, and 16 in the Top 3. Due to my own chart rules, if a song spends 5 consecutive weeks outside of the top 10 after (1) spending at least 10 weeks in the chart and (2) reaching the top 10, the song will be forced to retire. Songs that retire are generally not allowed to return to the chart, ONLY if they would rank in the top 5. No song on my chart has ever returned after retiring, some have come close but none have yet.
Back to the chart, Sia drops 1-2, Ariana 4-3, Gaga 5-4 and Shakira & Maluma enter the top 5 with "Chantaje," the first for Maluma and one of many for Shakira. She hit #1 earlier this year with "La Bicicleta" with Carlos Vives. Bruno drops 2-6, Solange hits a new peak with CITS, and the Chainsmokers continue to drop 7-8.
Tove Lo returns to the top 10 after hitting #4 with "Talking Body" with "True Disaster" after the debut of its music video. Fun fact, despite only hitting #4, TB ended up being the #7 best performing song of 2015 due to its longevity on my chart. Rae Shreemurd and Gucci Mane both score their first top 10 on my chart with "Black Beatles" as it rises 11-10.

DRjuss06's Weekly Top 25
I've been super busy so for the past two weeks I haven't been able to post anything.
For the week before last, "Starboy" stayed at #1 for a 5th nonconsecutive week, ranking at #3 for the longest-running songs of 2016, after Calvin & Rihanna's "This Is What You Came For" and Rihanna's own "Work" feat. Drake at 8 and 7 weeks.
For this week, Lady Gaga's "Million Reasons" returned to #1 after the premiere of the song's music video. This is her 3rd nonconsecutive week at #1. For the 2nd time this year, two songs that returned to #1 have reigned back to back.
I will try to get a completed top 25 for next week, schedule permitting.

DRjuss06's Weekly Top 25
Below are two chart weeks since I've been so busy that I didn't even have time to post my Best of 2016, which I will post on this chart for those that care. Anyways, I only posted a top 10 for the past 3 weeks due to time constrains.
In the week ending January 1, 2017, the last official week of 2016 due to 6 days falling in 2016, "Starboy" returns to #1 for a 6th nonconsecutive week on top. Shakira and Maluma rise 3-2 to a new peak, as well as "Tove Lo" which rises 6-3 with "True Disaster." The rise continues Maluma's streak as his highest ranking song ever, and Tove also beats her previous highest ranking of #4 with "Talking Body."
For the next week, the top 3 remains the same, with The Weeknd scoring a 7th nonconsecutive week on top, moving the song into both rarely uncharted territory but very familiar for The Weeknd. "Starboy" becomes only the 7th song to spend 7 weeks on top, with The Weeknd owning 3 of those 7 songs, including the longest-running #1 on my chart, "Love Me Harder" by Ariana Grande feat. The Weeknd for 10 weeks @ #1.
