Iggy is a liar. She rants on Twitter and adds little matter-of-fact lies to seem smart and right. This is not new. Fans that belittle other fans saying they believe Iggy are just as delusional as ones who believe in the contract.
Giorgio who is more sane and respected said back in January her contract says there are things she can't do. Yes, he pointed out music videos but at the point the song was not even done so he merely mentioning one of probably a lot of things.
At the end of the day, there are a lot more things pointing to Vegas hindering certain things. Them pre-recording Billboard from the AXIS in VEGAS, where she performs PIECE OF ME, is one of the biggest things on top of other theories - like not performing any material or all the interviews being tailored to Vegas only. You're just kind of stupid to ignore that, not singling anyone out though.
Brit Brit is a little lazy sure. She's also probably bipolar and psychotic. And you can't blame her for being so after decades in the business and the mess she went through. Acts at her status in general hardly tote themselves all across the world for promo because they don't need to. And the argument there is, that shouldn't matter she should promote. But there's your delusion and then there is reality. And reality is people like her, Bey, Madonna, etc. aren't all over GMA, Today, Letterman, Fallon, Kimmel, and every other platform because they're above it in the industry. They're focused on income from exclusive shows and performances, and more importantly tours. It's the business. Iggy was mad she didn't get to drag Britney all over the place like she did with Charli, Rita and Jen. But they need it.
Britney doesn't. Britney Jean was just a really bad album. It didn't sell because her team and she were getting a bigger paycheck from Vegas, which is the only reason the album was produced and so quickly. They didn't care to ensure there was a hit before release, because they didn't need to. Critics was telling everyone it was bad too. So it was never going to sell. But it was a source of income. Just like all the little compilations and remix albums they know don't sell, but they move something and keep her songs in their rights.
Album 9 is a new road though. Now they'll want to establish her again, by means of actual good songs the public may stream and or purchase. But the promo situation won't change. That's just how it is. She isn't on her first or second album and having to prove she's worthy in that way anymore. But the music has to prove itself, and it's to be seen if she can still do that.
Anyway, i never believed when Modorer said Vegas contract prevented her making music video. I mean that sounds inappropiate because music video is different from live performance on TV. Why would they prevent her from doing it? Whats the problem?
I think her team made it up and told Modorer that so he would not release it as a single knowing that it would not have a music video to support the single.
Her team just didnt want Tom's Diner to get released because they were going to release PG. They just wanted fans to focus on PG which was planned as lead single from B9.
Speaking of Pretty Girls, the single was difinitely rushedly released. I dont think they planned it to release it in May at all. Iggy ckearly forced Britney to release it. She confirmed that she waited the song to get released for so long and she wanted the song back from Britney. Britney couldnt help it but released it rushedly.
I think its a good thing PG flopped because if it was a hit, her team would announce it as lead single from B9 and rush second single and B9. In that case, we would get another bad quality album like BJ.

How was Pretty Girls "rushedly released"? It was released six or more months after being recorded. It was announced 5 weeks in advance & they even had the video ready to be released at a reasonable time. Shame Iggy was on it, it quite possibly could've been a hit. Although, I think the clean release was thanks to Iggy & her team rather than Britney & hers so this is all moot.
I believe the rumor that she isn't allowed to perform at ticketed events. Planet Hollywood obviously would have a problem if Britney was off doing ticketed events elsewhere and making money that they weren't getting a cut of, but there is no reason why they wouldn't allow her to perform at non ticketed, promotional events that would only help Piece of Me ticket sales.
I also think that B9 is going to have quality music because her team has to know at this point that ticket sales are going to keep declining if she doesn't put out quality music to entice fans to come back.

So she needs to get out there & perform to show people what they'll be seeing. It just doesn't make sense to me.

I'm hoping that the positive press she received following the BBMA performance showed her team that promo performances can only help her image and Piece of Me's success. I'm hopeful for at least a few promo performances for B9, even if they are just Vegas promo performances in disguise.

We dont know What was Briney New Contract! This is a New one! Im sure that Jlo would perfom outside The Axis at TV shows Britney could have The same Deal !
I don't want her performing old hits though. Circus, TTWE, etc are fine but nothing from her first four albums. I like that Toxic gets good recurrent streams & sales based solely on its legacy rather than new promo. Only place she should perform songs like Toxic, BOMT, etc is the Super Bowl.

Award show performances would be great, but I think that ultimately comes down to Britney. She seems a lot more comfortable and I think the BBMA performance gave her the confidence boost she needed (as can be seen in the Piece of Me dates that followed). Hopefully the positive reaction from the BBMAs is enough to entice her to perform more outside of Vegas this coming era.
