Can't wait for this era to really get moving.
She truly is.
But in a way that's not so conventional
to start out as this one hit wonder esque woman with no identity to honing her craft and finding her niche.
She was able to blend pop r&b urban and sometimes rock and dancehall into a package that the GP enjoyed.
She reinvented her sound and image and always kept things exciting and in her own identity.
She managed to be overexposed on radio yet still have demand which shows that if you are overexposed on the right format it's a matter of making the right moves...when being overexposed making wrong moves it works against you.
She managed to be a good girl trying to be bad and edgy to actually just coming into her own and people identify, relate, try to look like her, act like her, dress like her, and personify her and yet is still WW and global.
She's the only one that truly grabbed the GP by the balls and garnered success and adulation while singing pop (without coming off as trying too hard) and r&b and always stuck to her island roots to exemplify a rawness and soul/emotion in her voice.
there's no need for a huge push to make her seem more than what she is...she just crosses so many boundaries nad that's saying a lot for an artist who's still in her 20s.
