It is not random lol. It's just really focused on one character rather than a bunch of characters which is what makes it so good imo. They barely even tell you what happened. It's all about the aftermath.

Yeah random isn't the right word but i didn't like how Nina kept popping up in the movie, it seemed so cheesy and out-of-place. Nina's husband was so dull too.

The movie seemed very Lifetime to me, not a bad thing I guess but I expected more.

Don't even get me started. I was dragged to a theater to see a Tyler Perry film once, and you're 100% right. In the theater, the white trash (limited), the latinos (limited), and the blacks (majority) were all cracking up at the awful, dated, uninspired, homophobic, stereotypical humour. I was in shock. In total shock. It's so weird to be in a group of stupid people. Kind of scary, actually.
