Bangtan were called out for being idols moreso than the music they were releasing. They're not seen as a ~genuine hip-hop act, at least to the people calling them out. Bangtan handled it like rappers would though and retaliated through music.
I was just saying that from a musical perspective, Bangtan's hip-hop influence shouldn't be taken away purely because of their idol status/image due to a couple of songs . They release pop music as well but it all stems from hip-hop and rap in some form, and there's enough freestyling in their skits/circle room talk recordings to prove they actually have a knack/passion for it (speaking generally and not necessarily to your post).
