I understand William is kind of a thing in the U.K., but it's a little silly to write Britney off the song's success there completely. Like any of her own songs, her part in "S&S" is major. So much I don't think just anyone could have sang it and it still had become as huge as it did. It wouldn't have the most major piece of the hook "you are now-now rockin' with, Will.i.Am and Britney, bitch". Wouldn't have the Britishney touch. Nothing would be the same about that song, both in itself or in its success.

Captainmusic only refered to UK , he cleared in the rest of the world it was mostly because of Britney.

What I would like to know is the sales of his album in UK, I want to know if he (will) is the so-called force there , or if he is just a Flo Rida / Ke$ha in UK.

Yeah but I think Britney's british "All eyes on me" part makes a difference on the song, I don't imagine the song as strong without her part and the fact as well it was Britney made it cool, I also feel the song wouldn't be the same with "Miley Cyrus" or that "Tulisa" for example, something cool about the song was having Britney.

and Will also said on interview that it was Britney's idea to do her parts in a British accent , according to him Britney even first recoded her parts with American accent and then she suggested the british idea. Other artists Steal / receive co-producer credits just because things like this.

Yeah i agree. Her British accent made the song more cooler. I actually loved it!

Yeah and its something about it that its definatley more than just the music itself. There's a reason for "Scream & shout" being the most successful single of his album despite not being the strongest or catchiest song of his album.

His other single "#ThatPower feat. Justin Bieber" is catchier than "S&S" and actually features an artist that its on his peak moment (Bieber) and still sold way less than "S&S".

I think what make s&s so successful are "Britney Bitch!", British accent and it sounds not much different from BEPs tracks that are hits. Anyway, it's Britney's song since FF era. Radio loved the song a lot WW.

I know, my post remains the same. She may falter there a lot now, but it doesn't erase what she and only she could've brought to the song. Like you said, cocaine darling Tulisa, wanna-be Twerk Miley or even Nicole Schergalamb would see the song a hit in the UK just because William is "powerful" there. The song's magic is Britney's hook.

As for #willpower, this is its chart run in the UK:
3 - 5 - 15 - 20 - 31 - 41 - 50 - 63 - 40 - 20 - 27 - 34...

20,000 first week sales, 12,000 for the second week at No. 5. about 6,000 copies for No. 15. Given the state of sales in the UK, those lower positions are probably a hot ass mess. I would estimate it has sold ~50-60k, more or less.

Oh yeah, I know that Britney Bitch is the main hook of the song (my friends who don't even like her said that's the best part of the song), I just meant that while it wouldn't of done as WELL it still would've been a big hit here. The rest of the world (especially the US) wouldn't have cared.

Overall, I'm just glad I got a chance to hear on the radio again.

I feel optimistic about the new era's performance over here. MESS @ Wills UK album sales though, noone wants it. Not even us Brits.
