I'll try to compare to Halcyon and Lights first three weeks tomorrow, just to get an idea of how it's doing. But Gold by the end of the year seems possible, or at the very latest by January.
I think it's crazy how low Ellie's first week sales have been for her past 3 albums. You'd think with all the hits she's been having that she'd already built a big enough fan base. But longevity is key, I guess. And Delirium has a lot of smash hits waiting to happen. Hopefully they play their cards right.
I hope she snatches the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance, but I know she won't sadly.
Love Me Like You Do is one of my favourite Mainstream Pop Songs of the year, that chorus is so addictive. That's one of those songs that I just can't stop humming everytime I listen to it.
Same, even on ****ing Metacritic. I don't know HOW so many reviews dragT it for being mainstream pop when the only song on there that remotely resembled the mainstream aside from INYL was ACH. The reviews against it were so stupid.
Nothing on Halcyon was overly mainstream.
Explosions, Dead in the Water, Atlantis, Don't Say a Word, and Halcyon itself are like the antitheses of mainstream.
