With the new Hot 100 rules it is almost impossible to debut #1. You need huge sales and huge airplay like Taylor did. I don't think any other act can do it now.
I still think Xtina's fans hopes were to high and they overreacted ( in the good way) when the song was doing good. It seemed like it was doing something out of this world when it wasn't.
YB is doing well but far from what her fans wanted to be. I am not sure what will happen with this song after the promo but from now, sales are ok and airplay is ok, nothing spectacular.
We should stop comparing it with NMT, that is not a good reference. YB is doing better but that doesn't mean it could be a flop too, not as big as NMT but still a flop. Now we just have to wait and see. I think things will change for good but for now it is not that bad either.
