There were two instances where she actually WAS "visually stunning", which were her movie premiere and her roller girl, but the rest were devastatingly mediocre outfits with some interesting makeup.

Stop that FASHIONABLE ****, she didn't say FASHIONABLE, she said VISUALLY STUNNING, which she is. And we get YOU didn't like it, you dedicated more posts trying to explain (and reaching) what's wrong with Kim Chi instead of focusing on why Naomi's lingerie or boring performances were more Top 3-worthy, for example. So stop repeating it because we get it, you're not closer to the truth by posting the same illogical **** every day. I'm so ****ing tired of coming here to read you and all those Mean Girls shallow worthless gays criticizing one of the best queens this show has ever seen.

Nobody is talking about that or pitting Acid/Kim against each other. Go find another thread to talk about photoshop.

All her runways were great except the Neon one (but at least she was risky, that's more we can say about Naomi's Barbie bikini re-do of her usual lingeries), I really don't know if you watched another show or you have worst mental health problems than Lucian.

Kim Chi I think is the first queen to be on Drag Race and be a makeup queen. Like other girls are obviously very talented at makeup (Nina, Yara, Laila, India kinda) but that wasn't their schtick. But it is for Kim.
She's very smart that she wears these garments that kinda hide her body away so you can really see her makeup when she goes conceptual. And I don't think anyone is saying she isn't talented at this.
But the problem ends up being that she either wears robes and unflattering garments OR wears strangely adorned leotards and neither of those make her a true fashion queen.

She's a good performer (Texas thing) and did WONDERS for building the Austin drag community, which is surprisingly small for being the most accepting city in Texas for drag.

I don't think there's no good or bad art - art is subjective and this discussion would be (and is) pointless, but I still didn't state that. I said it was ART - not good or bad - as a way to separate it from straight-fashion.
chanal cares about fashion (that's why she should watch ANTM), I HATE fashion, well most of it. I think it's shallow, worthless, useless, meaningless and basic. I prefer a bad outfit with a cool story than a nice gown that is being worn just because. That's why I don't like Miss Fame in the sense I love Violet or Kim (but I love her for another reasons)

Miss Fame was nothing but a make up queen. She didn't even perform on stage before DR. Her lipsync for your lives were her first real times doing that. Kasha Davis on her Hey Qween interview mentioned Fame asking her what she was gonna do after DR cuz she didn't know what to do on stage.
Kim Chi was a well known performer and a stage persona in Boys Town.

Who the **** are you to evaluate who's a good queen or who isn't? Didn't you watch the show? I would NEVER say someone is a "good" or "bad" queen, there is queens for every taste. I despise Kennedy Davenport or Willam, but I respect what they do and I'm not here ranting about them every single day, or saying their fans are tasteless.

n same. I realize it's shallow, but it still takes taste, creativity and an eye for things to pull something good together. But not everyone has that.

Wholeheartedly agree, the most unoriginal copy paste active user of this entire forum. When and if she gets on drag race I can see the entire library of stock blonde wigs she is gonna wear from here.

Not to mention the whole concepts that go into shows and editorials. Some runways are breathtaking. And so is the photography and the concepts behind them. Idk to me the industry is much more than just wearing pretty clothes.

It can be, look at Violet. I'm not saying it's the opposite. I'm cool with conceptual/entertaining fashion.

I forgot about Miss Fame That's true.
However, I wouldn't necessarily call Kim Chi a well known "performer" before Drag Race. She was a well known IG queen and that's all.

Do I know you, sir? If you're gonna start, at least don't start by cosigning the drags of a lunatic.

! Them thinking it's as simple as just "a pretty dress" is highkey irritating. Like I don't undermine Kim's makeup skills; I realize she's amazing at that. But people have called her a "runway queen" and "fashionable" (No, Evita, I know YOU'RE not but others have, and there is proof in this goddamn thread of it), and that simply won't stand.

there is nothing vapid or superficial about fashion. you can say these things about the fashion INDUSTRY maybe, but fashion itself is an art medium as old as human civilization itself
go watch some Alexander McQueen runways and tell me that's not pure art
