In THIS era she's done 3 magazine covers, and A LOT of internet promo. PLUS a 3-song performance on GMA + TWO skits on Ellen + a performance on Ellen + an appearance on KCA that's probably gonna be a performance too, and she's obviously not gonna stop promoting there.

A label can't properly have a smash single if they release it 3 weeks before the album with NO promo until AFTER the album comes out because at this point she will be promoting Femme Fatale, if I had that Lil Kim .gif on tab I would be putting it in this post.

This! Promotion after the album comes out is more substantial than before it's released. She can capitalize on her name alone in the initial days but promo will keep her stable stats in the long run.

The single will have 50M in Ai when the album drops and won't have peaked on digital sales, and since people are already familiar with it, after she performs it people will start buying it and that's when it most likely will peak in sales, plus high airplay = better chances of a #1 on BOTH Hot 100 and 200

I am NOT pleased with the rumored promo schedule that's going around. Like, where are the late night talk shows? Oprah? It's her last season. Come on! Is there going to be any promo overseas? I fear (and dear God, I want to be proven wrong) that this album is going to be Britney's Bionic. I thought we were getting better promo than Circus.

And Britney seems less into this album than any other before. Once the Femme Fatale era is over, she is officially released from her contract with Jive. I don't even want to think about it because I could cry, but I feel like the retirement rumors could be true. That, or she's going to take one hell of a long break.

HIAM did that because while it didn't have promo it DID have hype. Right now TTWE has NOTHING. But the point I'm making here is she isn't going to TTWE on these shows to promote TTWE, it will be to promote FF at this point. The radio impressions won't help since they've been around much longer than the promo, the majority of people who want to buy this single have already bought. Either way Jive fails at promo
