I think the nominations are pretty good this year overall but there are some absolute messes which I've covered. And yes, I agree they are attempting to look diverse for the sake of it.
I agree! I think giving them a chance to live seperate lives will give them a huge amount to write about, and they'll hopefully discover new sounds and new things about themselves they can bring when they return. I wouldn't even be against a 3 year break with a couple of solo albums, because that will bring so much vitality when they return as a band for new music.
OT: Woo at the improvement in that sig rapidly. Two legends of the music industry and a fantastic newcomer.

I'll tell you though, there are some snubs this year that even I disagree with a LOT.
Lemme look into Mark's career and discography then. I loved Amy's Back to Black and that's saying alot since I wasn't a fan of genre that influenced that album but now I am.
Are we agreeing simultaneously on multiple subjects? Lemme bronze this moment. I know I wasn't always the positive one for the last couple of eras but damn if I'm not thoroughly impressed at the huge progress the boys made with MIAM (I'm going to seethe if they don't snatch a single nom in 2017; winning is not nearly important as getting their names recognized for their huge improvements).
nnn I spent some time just letting myself enjoy the music and voila. I think my signature is going to revolve around a concept of "artists/individuals of the month/year" kind of thing. Adele, Troye and Jay Park have really pushed my enjoyment to a new level. And rediscovering Alanis is amazing. Ironic >>> careers.
