This was obviously the best episode of this season but it didn't have much to compete with so not much of an accomplishment.

For the first time ever I skipped a scene from GOT and didn't watch Sam & Gilly part, they already had more screentime than they deserved.

Jon is being really stupid, it hurts me to see him like that. I wish he'd have someone to guide him.

Now that we know Valyrian steel destroys White Walkers.... Brienne's value just went up like crazy.

I think she'll end up looking for Bran and Rickon now and Bran will give her another mission.

I think Littlefinger also has a Valyrian steel dagger, the one used to try and kill Bran. Tommen might have Joffreys sword as well, the one made from Ice that was given to him by Tywin

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I actually didn't like that battle all that much The actual plot of the battle was PHENOMENAL, but I thought the cinematography was messy (it was SO blurry half the time) and it was a bit repetitive at times (we didn't need like 20 shots of Tormund hitting white walkers with his sword at that gate, or seeing the white walkers trying to poke through the gate for what felt like 10 minutes).

It's a shame that very few battles in the show are amazing both plot-wise and technically. Season 4's Battle of the Wall was an amazing technical achievement, but it was uninteresting. This battle was super interesting, but lacking some of the great technical aspects. Maybe I'm just biased because I find the political scenes that simply involve characters talking way more interesting than the action scenes in general.

Speaking of which, the best part of the episode for me was Tyrion and Dany's scenes. The fact that they haven't met in the books yet makes everything that happens between them SO exciting

And now for a book spoiler, so non-book readers, don't open this:

I REALLY hope the whole thing with Dany flying away on Drogon in the fighting pit and then landing in the Great Sea with the Khalasar still happens despite Tyrion being there. Even though the show has done a much better job making Mereen interesting than ADWD did, she still needs to leave already, and I'm not here for her just casually walking out with Tyrion or something. The Drogon flying scene was SO epic in the book, and they need to keep it in the show.

I didn't know what the title was, but I just looked it up, and I'm so excited now

And the fact that it's going to be the big seasonal Episode 9 event is even better because that means they'll probably put a lot of effort into it looking really good

That was perhaps the best battle scene of the series, even though it served World War Z teas. I'm pissed that new wildling woman got snatched. She was great.

Kinda nervous that the Tyrells weren't even shown in this episode. And the fact that Cersei wasn't in the preview means that they're saving her Big Moment for the finale, as I expected they would.

Previous episodes were much better and balanced
I'm not watching GOT for the action scenes /battles anyway, if i wanted that, i'll go to the movies

But still let's be honest those last 20 minutes were freaking great
Kit Harington's acting is the last minutes >>>>
He really brought it home for once
He's usually so one-dimensional
His disheartened, hopeless face here made me feel sick

And that wildling woman, Wow, she really added some depth and essence to the whole thing
Great acting all around
She couldn't kill those poor children zombies because they reminded her of her own children
