As for "E.T." being filmed before "Born This Way", show me the receipts.
Obviously Katy didn't go "Oh look Gaga in space, I'll do that too." but it was unfortunate timing on her part. Just the general feel of the video was Gaga-esque, song breaks, disjointed narrative, inconclusive. She hadn't done anything like that before. I think she was definitely inspired by Gaga's video style, not the stupid space thing.
I wonder how her next era will do in streaming. I don't think it'll be as big as PRISM. I think she'll probably get around 800,000,000 with her lead single and something around 400,000,000 wth the singles after. Taylor was just too big in 1989
