SIO and BS both made it though
SIO had 7.8m copies despite only having 3 months to chart, and BS slayed despite having half it's points cut. Keep in mind that WFL was released around the same time period as BS but because it's points were split it didn't make it. But that doesn't take away from the fact it's a massive massive smash hit.

Right. Who cites her as an inspiration? Who wants to be "the next Taylor"? Where's her fashion impact? Social impact? Any influence beyond the charts? Her propaganda machine is huge yes but she doesn't have much presence outside her pop hits. She's still a great writer and Red and 1989 are among the best albums of the pop girls but don't fool yourselves.

She had enough star power to get countless legends on her sold out stadium tour.
Selena said she wished she could have her 1989 year.
She literally made one of the biggest companies in the world change their stance on streaming so as to give literally every musician credit for their work.
