The X Factor Auditions - Day Two
So like I said yesterday, I did get tickets to go today to the auditions even though I went yesterday. I went alone and still had fun and I brought my camera so yeah, I’m complete now. Hahahaha! Anyway today was good, although yesterday at the morning auditions, the energy was just crazy insane and everyone was screaming. There were people screaming today but the energy was just a thousand times more crazy yesterday. I have to say the main highlight of the day was when Gene Simmons’ daughter, Sophie auditioned.
When I was walking to go to the arena, I saw a man who looked exactly like Gene Simmons. I was literally two steps away from him. I got a look at him and I was like, “Wait, is that Gene Simmons? No, it can’t be Gene Simmons, what would he be doing here?” I came up with the conclusion that no, it wasn’t Gene Simmons and it turns out, I wasn’t the only one who thought that because there were people behind me who were questioning the same thing.
Anyway, Sophie came out and Demi was like, “Wait, I know you. You’re Nick’s sister!” Simon looked at her and said, “Wait, you know her?” And Demi said, “Yeah, she’s the daughter of Gene Simmons.” And everyone was like, “What?” And Sophie was like “Yeah, my dad is Gene Simmons.”
Then everyone was like, “Wait, why are you auditioning?” And then she explained how she’d always wanted to do music but she wanted to do it without her father’s help or just breaking out into the business because of who her father is. She said she called him yesterday saying that she wasn’t gonna be home for Father’s Day because she was Oakland auditioning for The X Factor. And she wanted a fair audition like she was just a regular human being and not offspring to a rock God. But it turns out him and her mom flew out to Oakland. They asked her if he was here and he was. And that means, the man who I saw outside was definitely Gene Simmons and he came out on stage and yes, the man who I saw outside was him. I took a quick pic and a 22 second video and I wanna upload but I don’t know if I’ll get into trouble and Fox will sue me.
