If same song was released for those movies, it'd flop too. Sometimes no matter how much promo you for a song, it still flops if it's bad. Look at Marry The Night / Run The World etc.
"It's a soundtrack single and those normally do poorly" is a bad excuse is all I'm saying.
"It's a soundtrack single for a kids movie" is a perfectly fine excuse. Cause nobody buys kids songs.
