Any reason for choosing White? I only chose Black because I saw the list of version-exclusives to it. Getting Garchomp was all I needed to see on that one.

Cause the first game I bought of this generation of Pokemon was White so I just picked White 2 for continuation purposes I guess. I'll end up having both eventually anyway

So I'm going to be getting Pokemon Black 2 tomorrow, and I'm wondering who I should choose as my starter?

I posted before that I'm getting Growlithe early on and I'm keeping him as my main fire type. I don't care about his stats, I just love him/Arcanine so Tepig is kinda out although I did use him in Pokemon White and liked him despite his **** speed.

I was leaning towards getting Oshawott for some reason, cause I'm thinking that there will be some decent grass types.

Thoughts?

You can get Sewaddle pretty early in the game (before the 1st Gym Battle).

I was going to buy it, but I had to pay bills then with what money I had I bought cd's, movies and drugs. I'm such a responsible young adult.

But did you keep Leavanny in your party until later in the game, or at least until you could dump it for a legendary like Virizion? I look for long term investments, so the team I get early on I keep until I evolve them and then start dumping them off when I get my real team assembled.

Personally I hate using legendaries in-game, but if you want to, then go ahead But I'd say Leavanny is pretty useful until the end of the game.

Also, didn't you say you want an Arcanine? Fire Stones are hard to spot, but I'm sure a quick Google Search will help you

I don't find much use for grass types usually, I can get away with using water or electric types for what I need would need it for.

Thanks for the heads up about getting elemental stones, I'll be raising Growlithe all the way until his last move so hopefully I'll find some, or I usually trade some Pokemon from my other versions holding rare items that are useful.

I've been reading Bulbapedia quite a bit this week. All these changes are so cool, definitely what keeps longtime fans like me coming back since 1998.

I've been reading Bulbapedia quite a bit this week. All these changes are so cool, definitely what keeps longtime fans like me coming back since 1998.

Good water types in this game are hard to come by early in the game There's Psyduck and Marill that comes early, but I really dislike them. I would totally suggest you take Oshawott. For electric types....Mareep comes early (it's a little rare though) and is also very useful
