HELLO GUYS; step in
Quote:
I have a project:
Quote:
every legendary artist (like Beyoncé) has a great legacy part on her wikipedia page. she already has one but imo it just cites random influences and rankings and it doesn't do justice to her actual impactful +15 years career. so
1) I want to begin by opening a blog here on ATRL where we'l do a pre-work before reaching to wikipedia Beyoncé page holder and perfecting her LEGACY section
2) we all come with great receipts here and there but I think some of you have a real sense of musicianship and for example are able to put things in better words; for eg: Ressti, Swissman, Walley...etc (probably forgetting some)
3) I want to list all her beautiful achievements as we use to do while dragging the kids here; the list below is now exhaustive but we can start building on it already (I'll try to be chronologic):
+ Destiny's Child days:
- Rapsinging (No No No, Say My Name)
- Bootylicious (dictionary, singing explicitly about curves)
- Independent Women (we can say sth here about girl power as the message was clearer than ever done before)
- Coaching her fellow members vocally (it shows she's a vocal master)
- Videos of her explaining how she came up with Independent Women, Bootylicious, Survivor (songwriting skills)
+ Solo career:
- Crazy In Love (acclaim)
- re-introduction/introduction of funk/gogo elements in pop music; most successful Rap-Rnb song at that time?
- impact on other acts: Ameriie, J.Lo, and even JAY Z (Show Me What You Got)...years later: Problem, Talk Dirty.
- genres fusions: Baby Boy and a bit Naughty Girl (arabic elements, dancehall,...)
- Me Myself & I (songwritting skills; she said in a bts she wrote it at 17 yo or so)
- B'Day reaffirming her unique music style (funk, rapsinging) ; the video anthology; perfecting her rapsinging
- Ring The Alarm (uniqueness and innovation); its impact on punk-ish chorus among r&b/hip hop girls (Banks,Ciara)
- Irreplaceable; the trend of With You, Hate That I Love You, Take a Bow, Good girl gone bad, Tatoo (jordin spark)
- Single Ladies (music video acclaim and impact); dance craze; Sasha Fierce nickname spread; iconic message
- IASF showing her diversity (accent on the I Am... side and its dif influences); perfecting her rapsinging (Diva)
- a place for her Decade-End recognizition (Billboard, RIAA, other lists etc..) + her legend awards
- End Of Time, Countdown (acclaim and innovation) ; still perfecting her rapsinging here
- Love On Top four keys changes (it seems banal to cite but come on Stevie stopped to 2 keys changes)
- I Care guitars imitations and her other instruments imitations as well (stevie tribute, superbowl, The Bey Experienc)
- her pregancy anouncement after a performance! at an award show (watch it inspire future generation )
- her two most acclaimed performances (Run The World BBMA, Superbowl Halftime Show)
- her twitter records (Pregnancy, Superbowl)
- her unique fierce stage style; dance style (ballet-meets-street); leotards becoming a standard her famous wig
- SELF TITLED (well you know what to do here): the surprise; the acclaim; the subsequent avalanche of praise during 2014 (Rock n Roll hall of fame; TIME; Vanguard; Guiness Book etc..)
+ GP, fans, peers, legend admiration and Followers
- we can briefly say how the GP sees her as a perfection
- her devoted/terrying/stinging fans with a picture of DG1 and Superpower on the side
- all her peers quote mentioning "Queen" "Best" "perfection" "voice" "fierce"
- Madonna calling her the "Queen" and "a beautiful voice"; Stevie; Aretha; Patti; Janet; Michael J; etc...
- her already seem-to-be followers (Fifth Harmony; etc...)
+ we can brievely adress her stats and awards records it always impress the GP you know
